How DMARC Dojo and dmarcian compare on pricing, email-volume limits, hosted DMARC, SPF and DKIM, reporting and AI, and which fits your domains best.
Updated September 30, 2026
dmarcian is one of the longest-running DMARC platforms, founded in 2012 by one of the primary authors of the DMARC specification. It prices by plan tier, with limits on both active domains and monthly message volume, and adds forensic reports, SSO and an API on higher tiers. It also sells expert deployment and support services. DMARC Dojo is a newer, lower-cost service that hosts your DMARC, SPF and DKIM records, prices by domain count only and adds an AI analyst and an MCP server. dmarcian suits organizations that want a proven vendor, forensic reporting and hands-on services; DMARC Dojo suits teams that want hosted records and flat pricing at a small budget.

Where dmarcian is stronger
Track record and expertise. dmarcian has worked on DMARC since 2012, and its founder helped write the specification. DMARC Dojo launched in 2026. If vendor longevity matters to your procurement team, that gap is real.
Forensic reports. Plus and Enterprise process forensic (RUF) reports. DMARC Dojo processes aggregate reports only.
Enterprise controls. Enterprise includes SSO, user access controls, an API with webhook support and automatic domain discovery. DMARC Dojo has no SSO/SAML.
Compliance. dmarcian has an annual SOC 2 Type II audit and lists ISO 27001, 27017, 27701 and 22301 certifications. DMARC Dojo has no SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification, which rules it out for some security reviews.
People, not just software. dmarcian sells deployment projects led by a deployment manager, onboarding sessions, consultation, and Dedicated Support plans with scheduled one-on-one phone and screen-sharing sessions. DMARC Dojo has no phone support.
Alerting and reach. Alert Central sends alerts by email, Slack, Microsoft Teams or webhooks, and dmarcian has offices across North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
Where DMARC Dojo is stronger
No volume limits. DMARC Dojo prices by domain count only. A domain that sends 20 million messages a month costs the same as one that sends 200. dmarcian plans cap monthly messages, so a high-volume sender can outgrow a plan before running out of domains.
Hosted records, even on Free. Your _dmarc record is a CNAME to DMARC Dojo, SPF uses a redirect= to a hosted record, and DKIM selectors are CNAMEs. Moving from p=none to p=reject or adding a sender goes live in about a minute without another DNS edit.
SPF lookup guard. Changes that would push SPF past the 10-lookup limit are refused, so you can’t break SPF by adding one sender too many.
One-click setup. Connect Cloudflare (API token) or Amazon Route 53 (a scoped IAM role) and DMARC Dojo imports your existing DMARC policy, SPF senders and DKIM keys before switching anything. Domain Connect covers some other DNS hosts.
AI and MCP. On Pro and Teams, an AI analyst explains failures, classifies senders and recommends a staged path to p=reject. The MCP server lets Claude and other MCP clients query your domains.
Guided progress. Belts (White at p=none, Orange at quarantine, Black at reject) and daily digests with action items keep enforcement moving.
Price. Pro covers 25 domains for $190 a year, and Teams covers 100 domains with client portals for $990 a year.
Pricing compared
These examples use each vendor’s published list prices with annual billing, as of September 2026. They leave out taxes, discounts, dmarcian’s services and any custom quotes, so treat them as a starting point, not a quote.
Scenario
DMARC Dojo
dmarcian
1 business domain, 50,000 messages/month
Free ($0)
Basic: $239.88/year (Personal is for non-business use)
5 domains, 2 million messages/month
Pro: $190/year
Enterprise: $5,988/year (Plus covers 8 domains but only 1 million messages)
30 domains
Teams: $990/year
More than Enterprise’s 15 domains, so a custom plan (contact sales)
The second row is where the models differ most. dmarcian also offers custom pricing for overages, so a high-volume sender on Plus may be able to negotiate instead of moving to Enterprise.
Switching from dmarcian
You can run both services side by side while you compare, because a DMARC record can list more than one report address.
Add your domains to DMARC Dojo. Each gets a private report address like <token>@rua.dmarcdojo.ai.
Add DMARC Dojo alongside dmarcian. Put both addresses in rua=, separated by a comma:Overlap period: both services receive reports
Keep your current policy. Only the report addresses change.
Compare a few weeks of data. Aggregate reports arrive daily, so both dashboards should show the same senders within a week or two. How DMARC aggregate reports work explains what you’re looking at.
Move DNS to hosted records. Use one-click setup for Cloudflare or Route 53, which imports your current DMARC, SPF and DKIM first, or replace the records by hand. If you want dmarcian to keep receiving reports for a while, add its address under “Also send reports to” in DMARC Dojo’s policy settings.
Export what you need, then cancel. Keep any historical data you need from dmarcian before you close the account, and remove its address from the record.
Not sure what your current records say? Run them through the free domain checker first.
Which should you choose?
Choose dmarcian if you need forensic reports, SSO, SOC 2 or ISO 27001 documentation for a vendor review, or a team of DMARC specialists to run the deployment for you. It’s also the safer pick if a long vendor history is a hard requirement.
Choose DMARC Dojo if you send a lot of mail from a handful of domains, want your records hosted so policy changes don’t need DNS tickets, or manage many small domains on a budget.
For personal domains, both have free plans. dmarcian’s Personal plan covers two domains at low volume; DMARC Dojo’s Free plan covers one domain with hosted records. See free DMARC monitoring options for more choices.
dmarcian has a free Personal plan for non-business personal use: up to 2 domains and 1,250 messages a month. Paid plans start at Basic, $24 a month or $19.99 a month billed annually, and include a 30-day trial.
What happens if I send more mail than my dmarcian plan allows?
dmarcian’s pricing page says custom pricing is available for overages and suggests high-volume senders contact sales. DMARC Dojo has no message limits, so volume never changes the price.
Does DMARC Dojo process forensic reports like dmarcian?
No. DMARC Dojo processes aggregate (RUA) reports only. If forensic reports matter to you, dmarcian’s Plus and Enterprise plans include them.
Can I use dmarcian and DMARC Dojo at the same time?
Yes. List both report addresses in rua=, separated by a comma, and both services receive the same aggregate reports. Mailbox providers send a copy to each address.
Will switching change how my email is delivered?
Not if you keep the same policy and senders. Changing where reports go has no effect on delivery; only the policy and your SPF and DKIM records do.
